Meet the Everything 21L

Pack light. Carry everything. If you’re splitting days between shoots, office runs, and family life, this bag keeps your essentials tight, your camera close, and your laptop safe — without looking like a those traditional Nikon-dad heavyweight camera bags.

I’m Desy Cheng, and this guide walks you through setting up the Moment Everything Backpack 21L. Moment also sees a slight smaller 17L if that’s your vibe or the a 28L capacity which I’ve covered in this getting started article should you need. Let’s get you dialed in. As aways, watch the video above for a visual reference.

Why Creators, Commuters, and Parents Love It

The Moment Everything Backpack keeps life real slimmed down and simple with tis fast side access to your camera with the 4L Camera Insert, a smart interior that balances camera gear, tech, and personal items, and a clean, low-profile look that fits everywhere — from subway commutes to studio sessions to school pickup. It's a classic, go-to backpack that moves with you whoever you need to go.

Choose Your Size: 17L vs 21L

  • 17L: Slim daily carry for smaller frames and minimalist kits. Great for city commuting and light creator loads.
  • 21L: Roomier main compartment for a compact camera kit, a change of clothes, and extra tech. Fits up to a 16" laptop in the dedicated rear sleeve.
Both sizes share the same thoughtful organization and streamlined look; pick the volume that matches your day.

Key Features You'll Love

Quickly up side camera access by anchoring the 4L Insert to the quick-access wall so your camera is always within reach on the back. The main compartment leaves room for a compact tripod, tech pouches, or daily EDC items, while the extra large zippered mesh pocket keeps small accessories visible and tightly packed.

Up front, a roomy stash pocket handles grab-and-go items like wipes, keys, or sunglasses, with a hidden internal zip pocket for cash or a passport. There's also a single oversized water-bottle pocket with dual elastics keeps bottles locked in; it doesn't move around much while rushing through airport security, so that's a plus.

Around back, the dedicated tech bay fits up to a 16" laptop in the 21L, plus a tablet sleeve and built-in organizers for chargers, cables, and pens. It's got padded, ventilated shoulder straps and a breathable back panel that makes lugging around gear comfy.

5-Minute Setup

To rig out the backpack like a champ for multiple use cases, this is what I do:

1) Mount the Camera Insert

Place the Moment 4L Camera Insert inside the main compartment and secure it to the side with the quick-access zipper. This anchors your camera so it’s ready the moment you unzip.

2) Dial Your Access Points

Orient your camera grip toward the side opening. Keep one lens mounted and a second lens or mic alongside for really fast swaps.

3) Organize the Small Stuff

Move stuff like batteries, lens cloths, and filters into the large interior mesh pocket so they’re visible and don’t drift to the bottom.

4) Front Panel

Everyday carry goes in the front stash pocket (hand sanitizer, snacks, sunglasses). Tuck cash, passport, or AirTag into the hidden internal zip.

5) Tech Bay

Slide your laptop and tablet into the rear compartment. Use the built-in organizers for your charger brick, cables, and a slim mouse so they don’t scuff your computer.

6) Bottle & Tripod

Load a water bottle into the dual-elastic pocket, I use an Owl and it fits snug. Stash a compact travel tripod inside the main cavity opposite the insert, or along the edge if you prefer.

7) Fit & Carry

Tighten shoulder straps so the bag rides high on your back. Keep the heaviest items (camera insert and laptop) closest to your spine to keep the weight off the low back and shoulders.

Cleaning & Maintenance

If your pack gets dirty, grab a rag, some clean water, and a little mild soap. You don’t need anything fancy; just wipe it down, and it’ll be as good as new.
