I’m the Head of Growth over here at Moment and I practically live out of our 28L Everything Backpack, so let me give it to you straight.

Look, life’s a mixed‑bag sprint: work, gym, weekend shoot, red‑eye flight. That’s why I’m hyped on Moment’s new Everything Backpacks, because they keep up with me wherever I go. We engineered these things to haul, protect, and quick‑draw basically whatever you throw inside. Laptop? Side zip. Camera body and two lenses? Top hatch. Hoodie, hard drive, half a burrito? Crack the clamshell and boom — there it is. No digging around, no panic. Just a smooth, one‑zip access to the goods so you can get back to.

Here's a full breakdown of materials, organization, fit, and more. Be sure to check out the videos linked below if you want a refresh on the different sizes it comes in, too!

1. How Is It Made?

First off, this bag just looks dialed in and simple. Clean lines, premium fabric, zero flashy logos, it's basically “boardroom‑ready,” but also “stuffed under an airplane seat at 5 a.m.” It’s style without the ego and makes for the perfect go-to for quite literally everything (hence the name).

Built To Haul Around

We designed the frame to hug your back, so whether you’re sprinting through Sea‑Tac or cruising to your local café, the weight disappears. All the nerdy contouring happens inside; you just get a super‑comfy carry.

Also, it's the last bag I'll buy in terms of travel. Overhead bin? Under the seat? The 28L hits that perfect size, just big enough for camera gear, laptop, hoodie, and an emergency snack stash, but still counts as a personal item on most airlines. I told the team we really need something that could perform in various situations, making it a primed design thesis.

We spec’d waterproof zips and a double‑coated nylon shell, plus smartly‑placed padding that protects your pricey glass without turning the whole thing into a brick.

Nice Price Point

Some bags are either insanely expensive or flat-out cheap. Moment’s whole mission is pro‑level quality that doesn’t empty your wallet. You’re getting the same materials the fancy outdoor brands use; just without the mortgage payment sticker shock and a more compact size.

2. How It Fits

Nothing kills the vibe faster than a bag that fights your body. When I throw the Everything Backpack on, the first thing I notice is how the S‑curve straps just melt into my shoulders, there's luckily no weird chest squeeze, no pressure points, and its weight balanced like magic. Cinch the sliders and you can float the pack low near your hips or ride it high for airport sprints; totally your call.

We built three sizes — 17L21L28L — so every body type is accounted for. I’m team 28L (camera gear plus snacks, obviously), but if you’re shorter or just rolling lean, the 17L and 21L hug in all the right ways. We even tweaked the strap exit angle so the bag stays glued to your back instead of drifting off the shoulder every five steps.

Long story short: whether you’re tall, small, or somewhere in between, this thing feels like it was custom‑made for you, and that’s exactly how we planned it.

3. How Is It Organized?

We obsessed over pocket placement, zipper feel, and expansion so stuffing it to the brim still feels effortless, and finding your gear doesn’t turn into a challenge.

Swing it sideways, pop the back panel, or dive in from the top. Every access point is right where your muscle memory wants it. The custom, micro‑ripstop shell shrugs off rain, lint, dog hair, whatever life hurls at you, while the DWR‑plus‑double‑coat combo and sealed YKK zips make water bead up and roll off nicely.

Up front there’s a stealth quick‑stash sleeve for passports and chargers; the side stretch pocket swallows a 1‑liter Nalgene; inside, low‑profile padding protects your camera or laptop without taking up extra volume. Bottom line: pack it fast, yank it open faster, and roll on knowing your stuff is bone‑dry and dent‑free.

4. Is It a Camera Bag?

Although we're super passionate about cameras, we love practical everyday bags equally. Over the years, we've yearned for a laptop bag to store our camera gear safely. We're stoked to have crafted two distinct camera-carrying solutions to answer this need.

This is why we made the 4L and 8L camera inserts, structured to fit inside of your Everything Backpack. Both are sold separately (sorry) but are designed for quick access and removal whenever you need. This makes easy to transfer the inserts to another backpack or suitcase. They have a firm yet padded exterior, make sure they retain shape while safeguarding your pricey cameras.

Inside the inserts are padded dividers that prevent your equipment from jostling against each other, making sure everything is separate and secure. Its ultra-soft Velex fabric lining the interior is a nice little shield to protect your screens and lenses from potential scratches.

Quick overview without going overboard on the inserts:

  • Comes with configurable removable padded dividers.
  • Has stretch pockets (store small items)
  • Has a nice tugged micro ripstop fabric
  • DWR finish with (2) layers of waterproof coatings.
  • Includes aluminum anchors to attach to the bag.
  • Its bright interior means you can find items faster.
